For optimal performance, BlackVue microSD cards are recommended.

Due to constant loop recording, dashcams put microSD cards under higher stress than most electronic products, such as action cameras, do. BlackVue cards are extensively tested to make sure that their performance is good and degradation is as little as possible over time.

Using third-party microSD cards can affect dashcams’ performance and, in some cases, force the dashcam to reboot randomly during recording. Although the basic requirement of the microSD cards for BlackVue dashcams is Class 10 or U1 and that the SD card should be formatted as FAT32 [Windows] or MS-DOS (FAT) [Mac OS], we cannot guarantee the perfect performance of cards from other manufacturers, as even cards with the same specifications may vary from batch to batch.

Card arrived on time. Had to pay $40 custom charges for a $43 card which didnt make me happy. Installed card and camera is up and operating.

Expensive but worth the money

Was finally able to snag the 512gb card in stock. I chose the BlackVue brand over a third party for my dash cam because I need these cards to work and not fail me at a critical time, otherwise what is the point of having a dash cam? I’ve never had a single issue with BlackVue official cards. The 512 is expensive but worth it if you shoot in 4K.

Excellent Support from Angelo

My experience with the BlackVue hardware has been good, although, like many advanced electronic products, it can sometimes require troubleshooting and a bit of patience to get everything working exactly as intended.
