The Power of Parking Mode
BlackVue dash cams automatically switch to Parking Mode to keep an eye on your vehicle when parked. With video buffering, a few seconds before an event are also captured. BlackVue offers two Parking Mode options:
Motion & Impact Detection Mode
- Motion: Detected by the image sensor (marked “P” in the file list).
- Impact: Detected by the G-sensor (marked “E” in the file list).
You can customize detection regions to avoid unwanted recordings from things like trees swaying or distant movement.
Time-Lapse Mode
- Records continuously at 1 frame per second (1FPS) and plays back at 30FPS.
- 1-minute Time Lapse footage covers 30 minutes of real-time activity.
- A 64GB microSD card can store over 62 hours of footage at the highest quality.
- If an impact is detected, the dashcam switches to Event recording.
- (Note: Time Lapse Mode is not available on DR590X models.)
Enhanced Parking Mode Features
Event Voice Notifications
When you exit Parking Mode, your dashcam will notify you if any events were recorded, so you can review them immediately via the BlackVue app.
Scheduled Reboot
Minimize errors by scheduling a daily automatic reboot, which only occurs in Parking Mode when data isn’t being recorded.
Stealth Mode
Disable all external LED indicators in Parking Mode for a discreet setup. A subtle interior LED will blink when motion or impact is detected.
