Product Description

These filters are especially effective at eliminating dashboard reflections on the windshield.

Designed for quick and easy use, these filters snap directly onto the front lens of your DR430, 450, 470, 490, 590, 590W or 590X front-facing dash cam. They fit securely, are easy to remove, and require no adjustment or rotation. Each filter includes anti-reflective and anti-UV coatings.

Please note: All polarizing filters will slightly reduce the amount of light passing through them (by about one to three "F-stops"), so you may choose to remove them at night for optimal low-light recording. This is not absolutely necessary as the BlackVue dashcams automatically adjust their exposure levels. You can also bump up the default brightness setting of your BlackVue 590/590W/590X by 1-2 levels to compensate for the added CPL filter. The brightness levels may be found in the BlackVue settings which can be accessed via the memory card or smartphone app.

Filter only. Does not include BlackVue camera.

Installation

Installation is quick and easy! Simply line up the opening of the filter over the front lens of your BlackVue DR430/450/470/490/590/590W/590X camera lens, and gently push. The CPL filter will snap securely in place. This filter can either be installed on the camera before the dash cam is placed inside the vehicle, or with the front camera already in place inside your vehicle.

Have had many of these

Have had many of these over the years. Must say this is the best unit yet, especially with the rear window capability. Added the front camera polarizer and bought a non-compatible one for the rear camera (modified it to fit). Makes a big difference in direct sunlight to minimize glare from the deck. Just get it.

Cuts the glare

The dash cam in my truck has always recorded a lot of glare off my dash in bright sunlight. This filter has eliminated 95% of it. It doesn’t eliminate 100% of the glare like you would notice from a good pair of polarized sunglasses, but definitely a huge improvement.
